Company-wide team development and motivational programme to enhance new product launch

Summary

Berghaus have worked with tangram for number of years and contacted us to come up with a programme that would challenge and stretch their senior leadership team. Given the nature of their business, this had to be outdoors, preferably in bad weather and not a hotel in site. We duly obliged and delivered an outstanding two-days.

Background

Berghaus was founded in 1966 in Newcastle Upon tyne and has been at the forefront of outdoor equipment design, manufacturing and sales ever since. It has a host of house-hold name athletes who work with the company to promotes its products across the world. Like all businesses it faces ever-changing challenges from new competitors, demanding customers and ever-changing technologies and materials.

Its management team thrive on these challenges and work well together.

Challenge

The senior leadership team at Berghaus had spent many months putting together the product launch business plan and strategy for the forthcoming year. They needed to have time away to clear their heads, cascade the information and schedule to the next tier of management and motivate the company for a tough year ahead.

Solution

Tangram attended the kick-off conference at their head office in Blackburn before the team were whisked off to a remote bunk-barn in the Yorkshire Dales. Over the next two days the team were confronted with a series of challenges and tasks that needed to be mastered. This included a high ropes course and our unique Chain Reaction activity which tested them to the limit.
